Of course I had to also share one of my favorite deserts. I know you guys will looove these! They are so simple and so delish.
- Guava Paste cut into 9 small squares (I like the Goya brand)
- Puff Pastry Sheets (I like the Pepperidge Farm brand)
- One egg beaten
- 8oz of Cream Cheese
- ½ cup of Sugar
- Oven preheat to 350 degrees
- Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top when done (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and while that is preheating mix your cream cheese and sugar together in a bowl until softened. Once that is done in a separate bowl beat your egg. Then put these to the side.
Spread out one of your pastry sheets on a baking pan.
Add your guava squares and separate them enough to make their own little boxes. Now add a small spoon of the cream cheese on top of the guava squares.
Now cover with the other pastry sheet and with a cooking brush, brush the beaten egg liquid on the top to make them crispy when in the oven.
Before placing them in the oven take a pizza cutter or knife and cut them into squares and separate them on the baking pan so they are not touching.
Bake for 25 minutes. Once they are done let them cool down a bit before sprinkling the powdered sugar.
Serve on a plate with some cafecito and enjoy!
